Mr Mohammed Jelloo M.B., Ch.B., Dip.Ch.(Orthop), D.MSK.(US).
Is a highly experienced orthopaedic surgeon with over 42 years of expertise in treating bone, joint, and muscle conditions. He has been part of the UK NHS since 1993, working in the last 22 years at a consultant level, caring for patients with both urgent acute problems and long-standing orthopaedic issues.
Alongside his NHS work, Mr Jelloo is passionate about teaching. He has been a tutor and examiner for postgraduate Diploma and Master’s degree students at the Centre for Ultrasound Studies, allied to Bournemouth University, helping train the next generation of healthcare professionals.
He has a special interest in musculoskeletal ultrasound scanning, using advanced imaging machines and technique to quickly and accurately diagnose problems and to guide precise, minimally invasive treatments. This means patients often benefit from a faster diagnosis, less discomfort, and a more tailored treatment plan.
Mr Jelloo is committed to providing care that is thorough, clear, and centred around each patient’s needs. His goal is always the same: to help people get back to the activities they enjoy and improve their quality of life.
How much will it cost me?
No matter what you booked, you will only pay for what you would receive on that day. For example:
If you booked an orthopaedic consultation but you ended up requiring ultrasound or injection, you will then only pay for ultrasound or the injection that you received.
Similarly, if you booked for an injection but ended up only requiring orthopaedic consultation or ultrasound, then you will only pay the lesser price of orthopaedic consultation or ultrasound scan.
The orthopaedic consultation with Mr Jelloo will include an assessment with history taking followed by a clinical examination. Advice on management will follow (may include prescription)
After that, if ultrasound scan survey was indicated, then it would be done right after the orthopaedic consultation, and in this case you will only be required to pay for the ultrasound (because ultrasound package includes free orthopaedic consultation anyway)
Similarly, if you booked an orthopaedic consultation, but an injection was indicated, then the injection would be done right after the orthopaedic consultation and ultrasound scan survey, and in this case you will only be required to pay for the injection (because injection package includes free orthopaedic consultation + free ultrasound scan anyway).
What is Musculoskeletal ultrasound scan?
Is a painless risk-free scan (ultrasonography) of orthopaedic conditions in limbs, pelvis, and spine.
We have invested in two of the most powerful and accurate ultrasound machines.
Your scan involves putting some skin-friendly odourless gel on your skin and gently applying the ultrasound probe onto it. This will enable the doctor (and yourself) to see structures deep under your skin, all being displayed on the screen, showing potential abnormalities that are causing your symptoms, thus helping with determining accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
Musculoskeletal ultrasound scan will also help the doctor accurately target any injection into the correct tissue plane and to plan the best management for your condition.
